Tot Program

Our Tot program is a great way to help develop a young child's motor skills and see what they can do with their body.  Following directions, taking turns, and group interaction is also a strong part of the program.  Learning through fun and challenging equipment set ups will be emphasized.  To ensure the best placement for your child, we have broken the classes into the following groups:

Parent Tot:

2-3 year olds with parent's help.

7 to 1 ratio. 40 minute class.

Mini Tot:

3 and 4 year olds new to gymnastics. Parent's help is allowed if needed.

5 to 1 ratio. 45 minute class.

Mini Stars:

3 1/2 - 4 1/2 year olds new to gymnastics or some experience.  Parents will not be allowed on the floor during class.

5 to 1 ratio. 45 minute class

Tiny Tot:

Age 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 or under with 2 semesters at LaFleur's or instructor recommendation.

6 to 1 ratio. 1 hour class.

Tot Open Gyms: Mondays 10:00am - 2:00pm, Thursdays 10:00am - 12:00 pm and Fridays 12:00pm - 2:00pm

(September - May)

All Tot classes start with a short (10 minute) warm-up followed by 3 or 4 set ups around the gym.  These set ups introduce the children to the various gymnastics equipment and teach the fundamentals of the sport.  These classes are co-ed and the all the children are taught both boys and girls skills.  For a class schedule click here.

Class Program

Our class program was designed to build on the skills the children learned in the Tot program as well as introduce new students to gymnastics.  These classes are divided into separate boys and girls classes.  The boys learn skills for the men's apparatus (floor, rings, vault, high bar, parallel bars, and pommel horse) and the girls learn skills for the women's apparatus (floor, beam, vault, and uneven bars).

Beginner 1 & 2: Basic skills on all Olympic events will be taught. No experience needed. Sign up for a class that best meets your child's age.
Beginner 1:  7 to 1 ratio. Ages 5-7. 1 hour 15 minute classes. Must be at least 5 before first class. Students turning 5 during a session should enroll in out Tiny Tot program for at least one session. Daytime Beginner 1 offerings will be co-ed.
Beginner 2: 8 to 1 ratio. Ages 7 and up. 1 hour and 15 minute classes.
Intermediate: 9 to 1 ratio. Good basic skills on all Olympic events needed to enroll. New students must have a skills test before enrolling. 1 hour 15 minutes.

Competition Class: 10 to 1 ratio. Open to any AdvI/Adv and invited Intermediate gymnasts who want to learn and perform routines.  Each session will include a competition, including scores and awards.  Great class for kids interested in making our level 4 team or learning skills used in high school competition.  Participation in the session ending competition will be optional.
